MTI LS Crate Engines
MTI Machine is the in house machine shop for MTI Racing. David Dawkins brings 25 years of experience in the machinist and engine building industry. David has been building engines from stock VW Bug engines all the way to 812 cubic inch Chevy and Ford engines producing upwards of 1600 naturally aspirated horsepower. All engines built at MTI Machine will be balanced to within 1 gram and will be blueprinted on our RMC CNC machine. David can also coordinate with the customer to do any custom design work that may need to be done(camshafts, sleeves, crankshafts, pistons etc) MTI Machine can also do block and cylinder head repair for aluminum and cast iron blocks and heads. Cylinder head flow is very important to making power and that's why MTI Machine flows every ported cylinder head on our in house flow bench. MTI Machine also offers in house break in and power pulls on our DTS Engine Dyno. Proper engine break in is an integral part of long engine life with many miles of trouble free operation. Having the engine dyno ensures that every engine we build will be in perfect running order when the customer receives it.
